Detailed itinerary of your 16 days Uganda adventure
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
Wake up to take a cup of tea or coffee and after, pick up by our company representative ready to commence your journey from Kampala via Luweero-Masindi to Murchison Falls National Park about 5-6 hours’ drive in a 4×4 safari car. Murchison Falls National Park is positioned suitably in the Northwest and en-route, you will make a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Later, you will connect to Masindi to have lunch prior connecting to Murchison Falls National Park via Kichumbanyobo gate.

Day 2: Game drives and boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls
Commence your day with a tasty cup of tea or coffee and later, meet your driver guide ready for the early morning game drive along the Norther banks of Murchison Falls National Park. This will take you about 2-3 hours and along the way, you will spot out cape buffaloes, lions, hyenas, leopards, Rothschild giraffes, antelopes (including hartebeests, oribis, bohor reedbuck, bushbucks and waterbucks), birds among others. After, you will drive back to the lodge to have lunch and rest a little.

At 2:00pm, you have an afternoon launch cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls which takes about 2-3 hours along the Victoria Nile. Along the way, you have a chance to see schools of hippos, basking crocodiles along the banks and variety of water birds including goliath herons, bee-eaters, king fishers, cormorants, Egyptian goose among others. You will either return by boat or hike to the top of Murchison falls and meet your driver guide who will drive you back to the lodge.

Day 3: Boat trip along the Nile Delta
Enjoy your breakfast early in the morning and after, you will embark on a boat trip along the Nile Delta which is about 5 hours. Along the way, you will see the magnificent papyrus, variety of wildlife, birds including shoebill stork. After, get back to have lunch and in the afternoon, you have a game drive for you to look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes and several antelopes.

Day 4: Transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale Forest National Park
Wake up early in the morning to have breakfast and after, check out from your safari lodge ready to set off on a whole day drive along Hoima to Fort Portal. Along the way, you will enjoy the breathtaking views of the Albertine rift escarpments, homesteads. You will have lunch en-route and arrive at Kibale Forest National Park early enough.

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and guided nature walks along Bigodi Wetland
After breakfast early in the morning, gather at Kanyanchu Visitor Center for briefing on the dos and don’ts for chimpanzee tracking. At 8:00am after you have been put in groups of six visitors and assigned a park ranger guide, start your search for chimpanzees which may take you about 4 hours including an hour of magical encounter, photography and learning about their behaviors.

Along the way, you will also come across other primates including the red tailed monkeys, grey cheeked mangabeys, vervet monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys as well as bird species, butterflies, plants among others. Later, walk back or the driver guide will pick you up at a point he dropped you.

You will have lunch and some rest then in the afternoon, you have a guided nature walk along Bigodi Wetland. This will reward you with incredible sights at varied primates including red colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, vervet monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys as well as birds like the great blue turaco among others. After, return to the lodge to have rest, dinner and night stay.

Day 6: Drive from Kibale to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, you have a 3 hour drive from Kibale Forest National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Arrive early enough and drive through the park while enjoying good sights at varied wildlife species.

Day 7: Game drive and launch trip along Kazinga Channel
Enjoy your breakfast early in the morning and later, start your 2-3 hour game drive along Kasenyi Plains. This will reward you with remarkable views at variety of wildlife species including hyenas, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, warthogs and antelopes like waterbucks, bush bucks plus different birds. Later, return to the lodge to have lunch and in the afternoon, you have a launch trip through Kazinga Channel which connects Lake Edward and Lake George.

Day 8: Game drive along with Ishasha sector and nature walk
After early morning breakfast, you will drive via Ishasha for game viewing. A game drive along this sector allows you to catch a glimpse at the tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffaloes and several bird species. In the afternoon, you have guided nature walks along the Ishasha area which gets you the best sights at different wildlife species.

Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Commence your day with an early morning breakfast and later, set off for morning game drive to catch a glimpse at the tree-climbing lions then proceed to Bwindi National Park about 3 hours’ drive. You will have lunch at Savanna Resort Hotel.

Day 10: Gorilla trekking
Get up early enough to have breakfast and later, connect to your respective trekking regions (Buhoma, Ruhija, Nkuringo or Rushaga sector) for a briefing on safety measures to follow while on the search for mountain gorillas. You will be assigned to one habituated gorilla families to track out of about 20 groups that are available for trekking in Bwindi National Park and they include among others Kutu, Rwigi, Mucunguzi, Nshongi, Bweza, Kahungye, Busingye, Bikingi, Bushaho, Christmas, Katwe, Habinyanja, Nkuringo, Oruzongo, and Bitukura.

A group of 8 visitors will track one gorilla family and upon find these apes, you have only an hour of magical encounter. Please don’t forget to come with some packed lunch, bottled water, waterproof hiking boots, a long-sleeved shirt, a camera with no flashlight and a walking stick.

After your adventure, get back to the lodge to relax then visit a nearby community to interact with local residents or chill at the lodge and spend a night at Buhoma Lodge/Chameleon Hill Lodge (Luxury), Silverback Lodge/Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge (Mid-range), Buhoma Community Rest Camp (Budget)

Day 11: Batwa cultural experience
After breakfast, you have a Batwa cultural experience for you to experience unique ancient hunting and gathering techniques that the Batwa pygmies used, enjoy the dances and music performances among others. Later, return to the lodge relaxation, dinner and night stay.

Day 12: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi

Day 13: Boat ride along Lake Bunyonyi
Wake up early in the morning to have breakfast and after, you have a boat trip on Lake Bunyonyi. This will get you the best sight at varied bird species, breathtaking view of scenic islands that make up a total of 29. After return to the lodge to have lunch and in the afternoon, you have nature walks and cultural visits to Batwa or Bakiga community to learn about their unique lifestyles.

Day 14: Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo National Park

Day 15: Quad biking
Start your day with a cup of tea or coffee and later, you have quad biking which takes you about 2 hours. This will get you the best sight at zebras, warthogs, elands, impalas, buffaloes, birds and many others.
After, get back to have lunch and in the afternoon, you have a boat cruise along Lake Mburo which gets you the best view at hippos, crocodiles, water birds, and many other wildlife species.

Day 16: Return to Kampala
